BACKGROUND & EDUCATION:
Sammy is honored to bring his diligence and out-of-the-box thinking to Bob Markle’s team at Principal Financial Group. At Cameron University, Sammy obtained a Bachelor of Music in Composition and Guitar, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. He was the proud recipient of the McMahon Foundation Scholarship while at Cameron. He then went on to the University of Central Oklahoma to continue his studies, earning a Master of Music in Composition in 2021. Once again, he graduated suma cum laude with a 4.0 GPA and made the President’s List of Academic Achievement every semester.
As part of Bob Markle’s team at Principal, Sammy is responsible for the digitization and continued maintenance of the Client Services and Management System. He also is studying for his Accident, Health & Life Insurance licenses.
INTERESTS:
Sammy’s musical works have been performed locally throughout the state and he is an avid contributor to the Oklahoma Composer’s Association. His musical catalogue can also be found on Soundcloud. He is an inaugural member of the Midnight Mass group, a salon-style musical forum for all types of musicians to present their works. In Sammy’s free time, he writes and records music at home, enjoys a good book frequently, and is currently learning to play the banjo. Sammy most enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Haleigh, and young son, Mateo.
